EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Richard has 19 years tax experience, of which 15 have been with BDO. Richard is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
Richard specialises in private client work, with his main focus being on international tax planning. His main client base are non UK domiciles living in the UK and he works with them to understand their requirements from a business, personal and family perspective. Richard works closely with both his clients and their advisers to reach satisfactory results. When clients do not have advisers in place he is able to place them with third party wealth managers, lawyers and fiduciary advisers as appropriate.
Richard is Chairman of the International Private Client Group of BDO International. BDO has private client offices in over 50 countries and Richard works with a core team to share knowledge and develop business on a global level.
Richard has spent a period of time working at BDO in the Iberian peninsular and travels regularly to the world’s largest financial centres to meet with clients and contacts.
Richard was previously included in the Top 35 under 35 list of private client advisers. He is now on the Tax Journal’s prestigious ‘40 under 40’ pick of leading tax professionals in the UK. He is also included in the Citywealth Leaders list.
