Sale of AbaData Ltd., a web-based GIS-mapping developer and distributor to Jason Toews

Co-founder and former CEO of GasBuddy, Jason Toews, has acquired AbaData Ltd. (“AbaData”). 

BDO Canada M&A and Capital Markets team acted as an advisor to AbaData,  assisting the owners of the business throughout the entire sales process. 

Founded in 1992, AbaData is located in Red Deer, AB and is a web-based Geographic Information Systems developer and distributer of their mapping programs. AbaData currently provides multiple SaaS based programs including AbaData 2.0, LITEning, BADGR, and others. These applications are utilized in various industries including oil & gas, utilities, and renewables.
