Andrew Bailey leads BDO UK’s Expatriate Tax Services Team, which specialises in assisting companies with the movement of their expatriate workforce. This assistance encompasses tax, social security, remuneration and general planning. Andrew also leads BDO UK's Global Employer Services team and is the Chair of BDO’s Global Employer Services Centre of Excellence.
Andrew has over 30 years wide ranging experience with a variety of companies and situations, including working with companies expanding into new locations and global consultancies.
Throughout his career Andrew has been a regular speaker at client and internal conferences and, additionally Andrew has been on secondment to a client where he worked within HR, dealing with issues such as executive development and reviewing the benefit position in a newly merged entity. He therefore has, in his opinion, a better appreciation of issues affecting HR professionals.
Andrew is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Financial Services and also sits on HMRC’s Joint forum on Expatriate Tax and NIC.
