The IASB has published its June 2017 edition of IFRS for SME Update, which summarises news, events and other information about the IFRS for SMEs.
SMEIG Q&A Guidance
The SME Implementation Group (SMEIG) has published draft guidance on the IFRS for SMEs standard in the form of a questions and answers (Q&A) document. It addresses the accounting treatment of a financial guarantee issued by a parent company in that parent company’s separate financial statements.
The consultation is open for comment until 1 September 2017 and can be accessed here.
Translations
Translations of the 2015 IFRS for SMEs approved by the IFRS Foundation are available in Albanian, Arabic, Japanese, Kazakh, Portuguese and Spanish, with an Armenian translation currently in progress.
