A lively interview by Noel Clehane, BDO Global Head of Regulatory & Public Policy Affairs with the BDO Brexit Task Force co-chairs, Stuart Lisle and Iain Lowson, on how clients, particularly midmarket businesses, are coping with the ongoing Brexit uncertainty. They offer a very realistic but ultimately upbeat and optimistic assessment of how Brexit is affecting businesses in the UK and across Europe. Stuart and Iain strongly encourage businesses to scenario plan and suggest that so far, no more than 40% of businesses have done meaningful planning for the outcome of Brexit. They also call on UK and EU politicians to speedily resolve the political uncertainty so as to ensure minimal damage to the European economy.
