Sale of Solatube International, Inc. to Kingspan Light & Air, LLC

BDO Capital Advisors, LLC (BDO Capital) is pleased to announce the sale of Solatube International, Inc. to Kingspan Light & Air, LLC, a division of Kingspan Group plc (ISE:KRX). BDO Capital served as exclusive financial advisor to Solatube on this transaction, which builds on the firm’s experience working with founder-owned companies in the building products space. Bob Snape, President, and Eric Higgins, Director, led the client engagement for BDO Capital. 

Kingspan is the global leader in high-performance insulation and building envelope solutions based in Kingscourt, Ireland, with a corporate mission of accelerating a net zero emissions future with the wellbeing of people and planet at its heart. Kingspan Light & Air manufactures and provides high-performance daylighting, smoke management, and ventilation systems. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. 

Solatube was founded in 1991 and is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing and distribution of tubular daylighting systems based in Vista, California. Solatube has a 30+ year track record as an industry innovator transforming interior spaces with the power of daylight across both residential and commercial end markets. The company designs and manufactures a comprehensive, patent-protected portfolio of daylighting systems and complementary products such as solar-powered attic fans, whole house & garage fans, and traditional skylights. Solatube focuses on easy to install, environmentally friendly building products and its daylighting systems provide commercial architects with relatively inexpensive LEED points.
